Écorché class.
Working on better understanding of Human anatomy. I am taking a class at J. Hess Studio (Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1584002631881811/), where we are carefully building the human form from the inside out. All proportions and relationships are carefully examined and discussed. Here is my sculpture after about 9 sessions!

Working with Faux Metal treatement
I like the faux bronze and faux iron look on my sculptures but the cold patinas are a little random in terms of their effects on the faux metal paints. They need a lot of trial and error and feel like I need to touch it up with acrillics at the end to get the look I like. It feels a little like cheating... applying faux metals to my ceramic pieces. #metalfinish #sculpture #figurative

Finishing my Sculptures
Sculpting is what I do, finishing not so! I guess it will come with practice... For the last couple of years I have been focussing on sculpting and not finishing. I noticed that everything surfacing related in my supplies needed updating. Got new paints, a new airbrush and a small compressor... Then there are the bases for the sculptures to stand on, wish I could outsource that job! Not sure I like the flesh colored finish...
